Ph.D. in Bioengineering
The Doctor of Philosophy program is a diverse, multidisciplinary five-year program that emphasizes translational research at the intersection of engineering, biological and medical sciences. Students take a qualifying exam at the end of the first year, and a prelim exam in the third to fourth year. Typically, students complete their disseration and defend their doctoral thesis one and half to two years after the preliminary exam.
