Research Assistant Professor in Biomedical Image Computing
The Department of Bioengineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) invites applications for a full-time Research Assistant Professor in biomedical image computing. This area is broadly defined and includes research that involves computational imaging, image reconstruction, medical image analysis, and machine learning methods for advancing foundational biomedical imaging science.
Department of Bioengineering - Postdoctoral Research Associate in Rehabilitation
(Clinical Research Focused)
The Yang laboratories within the Department of Bioengineering and Carle Foundation Hospital are focused on investigating neural mechanisms underlying movement impairments post-stroke and developing targeted therapeutical interventions to facilitate motor recovery. This interdisciplinary research integrates neural engineering approaches and human subject experiments, based on multi-modal brain imaging, non-invasive brain stimulation, electrophysiology signals, robotic devices, and data sciences.

The Department of Bioengineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) invites applications for full-time tenure-track faculty positions in neural engineering, which is a strategic growth area in the department. The department has recently launched the nation’s first B.S. degree program in neural engineering. This new program leverages campus strengths across diverse topics from bioengineering, neuroscience, data analytics, and imaging.
