Bioengineering Ph.D. candidate Benjamin David currently works in bioengineering professor Paul Jensen's lab and served as a TA for BIOE 202 Cell and Tissue Engineering Lab taught by professor Karin Jensen during the the COVID-19 pandemic. He was an author on a recent paper about the development of the virtual practical exam published in the journal Biomedical Engineering Education.
When the pandemic hit and campus closed, we had to come up with new and creative ways to still deliver the course. That was really challenging because it was such a hands-on course. As students ourselves, we have helpful insights into what may or may not work. In reality, there is no substitute for the in-lab experience, but we are trying our best to find creative ways to present the most important information
Cutting-edge research. Exceptional students.
