Ali Ansari

Professor Ali Ansari is a UIUC alumnus, a device aficionado, and a game lover, with a background in a multitude of different engineering emphases. He’s also joining the bioengineering department as a teaching assistant professor.

Min Jee Jang

Assistant Professor Min Jee Jang specializes in neural engineering, and comes to UIUC from the Department of Bio and Brain Engineering at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology. She's  passionate about developing molecular neurotechnologies to understand the working mechanisms of the brain.

Yang Liu

Professor Yang Liu started her career as a chemist, and now enjoys the academic diversity that the field of bioengineering offers. She's currently working on detecting very subtle changes in cell nuclei to identify how those changes might predict cancer or other health indicators.

Ashok Samuel

Research Associate Professor Ashok Samuel's work combines chemistry, physics, biology, and mathematics with exciting results. In his free time, he's an artist as well as a scientist.

Yuan Yang

Associate Professor Yuan Yang's focus is how we can better understand the human brain after injury, particularly stroke. He comes from a bioengineering and electrical and computer engineering background.
