The in-person M.Eng. in Bioengineering program is designed to be completed in just one year, allowing you to quickly launch your career in the field or pursue additional advanced education.
Online Program - Time to Degree
The online M.Eng. in Bioengineering program offers flexible pacing—complete the program in as little as one year, take one course at a time, or choose a schedule that fits your life and career goals.
Transfer Coursework
University of Illinois students with extra credit hours (those with credit hours in excess of their undergraduate degree requirements) may be able to transfer up to 8 hours of of graduate coursework taken during their senior year towards elective M.Eng. in BioE program requirements. This will open up the student’s required M.Eng. in BioE course load, providing more time to devote to job searching or the opportunity to take additional electives. Graduate courses allocated towards the M.Eng. in BioE program cannot be used to fulfill an undergraduate degree.
