Department of Bioengineering - Teaching Faculty (Open Rank)
The Department of Bioengineering (BIOE) in the Grainger College of Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign invites applications for an open rank, full-time teaching position in biomedical imaging and applied artificial intelligence. Candidates will be considered for a teaching track faculty position at the assistant, associate, or full professor rank. Alternatively, an appointment as a lecturer will also be considered when appropriate. This is a 100% non-tenure track, renewable appointment.
Department of Bioengineering - Postdoctoral Research Associate in Rehabilitation
(Clinical Research Focused)
The Yang laboratories within the Department of Bioengineering and Carle Foundation Hospital are focused on investigating neural mechanisms underlying movement impairments post-stroke and developing targeted therapeutical interventions to facilitate motor recovery. This interdisciplinary research integrates neural engineering approaches and human subject experiments, based on multi-modal brain imaging, non-invasive brain stimulation, electrophysiology signals, robotic devices, and data sciences.
Postdoctoral Research Associate Position in Bioimage Informatics
We are excited to announce an opening for a postdoctoral research associate to work in large-scale bioimage informatics and computational imaging at the Department of Bioengineering, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Our laboratory is located at the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology, a leading institution for biomedical imaging. We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our multidisciplinary team to advance precision medicine through cutting-edge multiscale optical microscopy, artificial intelligence (AI), and large-scale bioimage informatics.
Postdoctoral Research Associates in Large‑Scale Image Informatics for Cancer Imaging
The Biomedical Optical Imaging Laboratory at the University of Illinois Urbana‑Champaign invites applications for a postdoctoral associate to spearhead research at the interface of quantitative phase imaging (QPI), artificial intelligence, and cancer biology. Our group integrates high-throughput super‑resolution microscopy, highly multiplexed fluorescence imaging, and mesoscale QPI to reveal previously inaccessible cellular and molecular dynamics in tumors. We seek a motivated colleague who shares our vision of translating advanced optical imaging into transformative insights that improve cancer diagnosis and treatment.
