Five Bioengineering seniors were selected for Bronze Tablet honors by the University of Illinois. Those selected were, pictured left to right, Lucas Brandon Edelman, Wiktor Gustaw Stopka, Megan O’Connor, Margie Mathewson, and Devin Kirit Patel (not pictured) . Selection for the Bronze Tablet is awarded to students in the top 3% of their college graduating class. The names of the recipients are inscribed on the Bronze Tablet which hangs in the Main Library building of the University of Illinois.

The College of Engineering has announced that Lucas Edelman is the recipient of the Harvey H. Jordan Award. This annual award recognizes the scholastic achievements and character of an outstanding senior. Lucas Edelman earned a perfect 4.0 GPA in Bioengineering with a minor in Chemistry. He will begin his doctoral studies in the fall in molecular biology focusing on epigenetics at the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom.
